The University of Texas at Austin for and on behalf of the Petroleum Extension Services (“PETEX”), and the GTC Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The two organisations decided to form a strategic global alliance of mutual benefit to expand their respective global reach for training excellence to Oil and Gas industry customers that seek training providers capable of providing high standards of employee training and learning experience in multiple regions across their global operations. They will jointly leverage their respective local presence, training facilities and course inventory to deliver comprehensive, integrated Oil and Gas Energy training solutions to an expanded customer base in US and global markets while benefiting from each other’s specialist expertise.

The Petroleum Extension Service (PETEX) is a unit of the Texas Extended Campus at The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in providing training courses and content to oil and gas industry. PETEX develops, produces, and delivers technical and nontechnical training courses, publications, and e-product solutions that are developed to industry standards for individuals in various sectors of the petroleum industry requiring fundamental through advanced knowledge of petroleum industry operations. PETEX conducts Instructor-led training at client locations globally and manages the PETEX Learning and Assessment Center located in Houston.

The GTC Group is a UK based international capacity development organization specializing in delivering training and consulting solutions to emerging economies. Its specialist unit, GTC Energy provides comprehensive, integrated solutions for Energy industry.
